While you move along the twists and turns of Kilim river through the maze created by mangrove trees, you can observe land walking fish, vividly colored kingfishers, eagles, makakes and when you are lucky otters or even dolphins.

Some clans of the notorious Makakes are living in the mangrove forests of Langkawi. They are specialized on living in this habitat… Because of their prefered food they are called crab-monkeys.
There are quite some caves you can visit in the Kilim Geopark Forest Park. Interesting features and structures in these caves include stalactites and stalagmites.
Natural inhabitants of those caves are bats, this small species hanging in big groups from the cave ceiling.
